Who I Am

I was asked by a few readers to learn a bit more about me. To give you a small background about who I am, I created a "Woman Behind the Blog" page just for you! Check it out in the upper left hand corner or just click the picture below!

  1. Absolutely love the page you created! The design and content are great :) I couldn't agree with you more about the stigma attached to thrifting. Its sometimes hard to tell people that what you're wearing is thrifted because they instantly crinkle their noses at the thought! That's exactly why its so great to be able to read about and connect with people out here in the blog world who "get it."
I wonder if there is some sort of connection between a love for thrifting and majoring in English? I graduated with my bachelors in English two years ago!

  2. Haha that is too funny! I've always loved English and considered teaching it, but decided I don't want to handle kids :) And thanks for the comments!

  3. I was interested in what you said about admitting something is from the thrift store. Where we live it is mainly Goodwill, a huge store and great fun to scrounge around in. Whenever I am asked about something I am wearing which came from there I usually mention that I stop in the store every time we donate and have a look around. Not only is this true but I like to think it might reinforce the idea of donating to thrift shops. Years ago we just used to throw away any clothes we didn't want to wear anymore. Now I cringe at the waste!

  4. I completely agree! Where I'm from, people throw away perfectly good items in their garbage, and I have to say that more than once we've driven by and pulled out a fantastic item. I can't believe how much people do waste!
